Our August Review

Last month, in August, we stayed busy both here on the ranch and on the road. On the very first day of August, we shared a listing for Fistful of Dollars, a New Zealand Buckling born on Nov. 7, 2021. This twin is easy to catch in the field and a real looker. Fast forward to today and as it turned out, we really liked Fistful of Dollars so we bred him to a few does and might just hang on to this guy another year.

We also attended the Heritage Kiko Show in Carrollton, GA. Our cooperative partner Sherri Reece was featured at that show and made the Kikos United brand proud.

James and I would like to say thanks to LaLa Farm, located in Florida, for offering us back our ladies. It’s sure nice to see them back on the farm after 3 years. One is out of Spitfire and the other 2 are Sired by Diesel and Redneck's Rough n Rowdy. We will miss seeing Rick Robinson and LaLa at the Kiko events and we are wishing them the best of luck on their new journey. Rick has since updated us that they are focusing their efforts on raising Nigerian Dwarf goats and Nubian goats which he says are easier to raise in the hot Florida climate.

CWR RDH Indian Sunboy is really impressing us and has since day one. He was a nice size at birth and has grown quickly. At the beginning of the month, we shared that we were excited to see his kids in September. Today we are excited to report we have three doelings so far.

We also shared a few doelings ready to sell. Be sure to check out our Kiko goats for sale.

Thank you goes out to Allen and Shanna Martin of Honaker, Va on their purchase of Revival's Amazing Grace. It rained on us that day so Grace got a little wet. In addition, we were proud to offer Zeus's Big Ticket to their herd. Circle W Ranch added MFFK Rose Bear and The Game Changer to our stock. We all walked away very pleased.

August also brings planning and promotions for our annual 2022 Buck Day. Together with our Kikos United partners, we are very pleased to offer this important event. Be sure to check out our blog about the importance of herdsire semen collection and 2022 Buck Day here in Tazewell, VA.

Finally, we are stocking up for a busy kidding season ahead of us. We are very excited about this crop and we hope to bring you the updates when we do our September Review. You can follow our updates on Facebook. Also, be sure to check out our Kiko Goats For Sale.
